Has the ending sequence been revealed for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey?

SPOILERS, of course.

Over the weekend a new batch of stills dropped featuring the dwarves of THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY, news that has came along with something else far juicier in tow.  Remember that long banner that appeared back during Comic Con? The one that looked like this?

The Hobbit long poster 2nd half

Now if you study the above banner with any knowledge of what happens in the book you'll realize that it actually shows The Company's journey in chronological order, with the terrifying journey with The Mirkwood forming the closing action sequence and the escape from that dreadful place serving as our cutoff point between films.  Only perhaps, if newly released art is to be believed, that is not the case anymore.  Check it out (click either half and be taken to the extra large full version complete with zoom).

And here's a better look at the ending piece of art up close (click the art and be taken to our poster archive version of the whole poster):

Seems like the new cutoff point for the first film in Peter Jackson's new trilogy now comes during (or immediately after) The Company's battle (of sorts) with the Wargs following Bilbo's finding of the One Ring.  Which is maybe a third of the way through the book, 40% at the most, so there's definitely going to be some padding from the appendices in there that this banner doesn't reveal.  Hopefully we'll get a new trailer between now and release to enlighten us, but if not we all may be in for the most interesting of surprises come December 14th.

Extra Tidbit: We're going to get plenty of action in this first film, which is exciting - the Trolls, the Goblin King/Gollum, and the Wargs. I'm by far most looking forward to the Goblin King/Gollum bits - I've always wondered pacing-wise how someone would film the Riddles In the Dark chapter.

The Eagles are Coming!!!!

I don't care where they cut it, but if the movie is released under 2 and a half hours...I'm going to feel cheated.

I can wait another year to see Thranduil's wild-ass crown in all it's 5K, 3-D, 48 FPS glory.

Really, how can anybody complain about this tale being made into three films? Even without adding elements from the Appendices, at least two films would seem advisable to tell this most beloved story in all its little details. Just getting to see more of Radagast, even his house and his animal friends, what treats we are in for.

What do you mean "more of Radagast"? He wasn't even IN The Hobbit!

I dunno if there's exactly enough time to restructure the first film

But then again, PJ's gonna be editing that thing until a week or two before the premiere.
And I know people like to rag on the story becoming 3 films, but c'mon did you honestly want all of Smaug & the Battle of five armies to be crammed in to one movie?

Based by this news, I would say the first part will be pretty action packed.
I have a Hobbit calendar in my office, I'm counting days here...yup. True story.

There's talk of a new trailer within the next couple of weeks. I think it may have something to do with Hobbits day or Bilbos birthday. Anywho it's in 2weeks whatever it is. Regardless I'm as happy as a pig in the proverbial.
