It has been reported Warner Bros. is looking for a female to helm WONDER WOMAN, and although PUNISHER: WAR ZONE's Lexi Alexander won't be behind the camera for the comic book movie, Alexander says she's heard Warner Bros. has offered the gig to another female director when she recently spoke with Forbes.

If she says yes, everybody will be very happy, including me. Still, I don’t see at this point why anyone would say yes. There is huge pressure … If [a female director] does fail, then all of a sudden it’s ‘all women suck at directing.'

Lexi Alexander also says Warner Bros. never approached her about directing WONDER WOMAN, and told her managers not to chase the job. So which female directors might be up for WONDER WOMAN? Forbes believes Warner Bros. is considering Kathryn Bigelow (ZERO DARK THIRTY), Catherine Hardwicke (TWILIGHT), Mimi Leder (DEEP IMPACT), Karyn Kusama (JENNIFER'S BODY), Michelle MacLaren (Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead) and Julie Taymor (ACROSS THE UNIVERSE) for their upcoming movie.

Will you be happy if one of these female filmmakers does end up directing WONDER WOMAN?

WONDER WOMAN is set to open on June 23, 2017.
