Hasbro talking to Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg about Transformers 4

He said after this, he was done, but Hasbro and is in talks with Michael Bay about a way to get TRANSFORMERS 4 rolling, as the series is still immensely profitable even if everyone is done with the films creatively.

Both Michael Bay and Shia LaBeouf had claimed that DARK OF THE MOON was their last effort. I really imagine Bay would want to move on at this point, and maybe he could produce, but I bet he’d want to hand over directorial duties to someone else. As for LaBeouf? I guess it depends what kind of paycheck they could cut him, but I bet they could cast some other up and comer and not lose out too much at the box office. People aren’t showing up to see Shia LaBeouf. They want giant CGI robots and hot chicks.

In the same conference call, Hasbro CEO lay out all the other film projects the toy company has going:

“We continue to actively develop a number of additional Hasbro films with great partners and writers, including Micronauts, Ouija, Candyland, Risk, Stretch Armstrong, Clue and Monopoly.”

It really does sound even more ridiculous when you lay them all out like that .He goes on to say the Ouija’s budget is being cut, but I actually thought the project was dead altogether, as that’s what we had last heard. So, TRANSFORMERS 4?
