Eli Roth feels like he has been missing in action for a while. He has not directed a movie since 2007 and has only made sporadic acting appearances since INGLORIOUS BASTERDS. While he is currently filming his return to directing, THE GREEN INFERNO, he took time out of his busy schedule to script and star in AFTERSHOCK for Chilean director Nicolas Lopez.

AFTERSHOCK has a basic premise: In Chile, a group of travelers who are in an underground nightclub when a massive earthquake hits quickly learn that reaching the surface is just the beginning of their nightmare. So, are they zombies? Monsters? Cannibals? Check out the trailer and find out yourself!

That's right! The predator is people! It looks like the devastation unleashes all the crazies from a prison and they take advantage of the nubile young women and unarmed men. Let the most dangerous game begin!

AFTERSHOCK was filmed in actual locations of devastation from the massive 2010 earthquake in Chile. Roth and Lopez infused the real life horror with a fictional twist that will surely make for a tense movie experience.

AFTERSHOCK stars Eli Roth, Selena Gomez, Andrea Osvárt, Ariel Levy, Nicolas Martinez, Lorenza Izzo, and Natasha Yarovenko.

Caught this one at its wild premiere at TIFF, and it's fun meat 'n' potatoes stuff. Nothing great (buzz exiting the theater was "the greatest disaster movie I've ever seen!!"... crazy) but it's a balls-out ride that realizes its potential well.
