Hello Michael Myers

04.13.2009

Rob Zombie's love affair with Michael Myers will continue this summer when he releases the followup to his HALLOWEEN reboot entitled H2, which will pick up directly where its predecessor left off, and will be seen through the eyes of Laurie Strode. Recently Zombie alerted fans that Myers will be seen without his mask in the film, leaving many to speculate on whether or not the mass murderer will have acne. For now, we have no choice but to revel in this first image of Myers, which was just released by Zombie upon wrapping the film. In the image, Myers looks pretty beaten up, however the director cryptically states that this is only "one of the many faces of Michael 2009." I still say he should have acne.

Extra Tidbit: Tyler Mane who players Michael Myers in the film, also starred as Sabretooth in the X-Men films.

@sparkholiday

I thought your beer comment was funny :) Believe it or not, but I didn't think the first Zombie Halloween was "that bad". I just wasn't a huge fan of it (for technical reason and story reasons). However, technical film making stuff aside, I'm still not sure why Zombie is taking off Myers mask? The sequel could end up being pretty good, but I doubt it.

ACTUALLY ...

... Mane played Sabretooth only in X-Men, in X-Men Origins - Wolverine Liev Schreiber plays Sabretooth, but I still don't get how come Sabretooth didn't recognize Wolverine in X-Men. Brain wash with adamantium bullets? :)

That's a sweet pic, but, I just read the synopsis for the film, and I now definitely have some reservations. I was hoping that, with the sequel, Zombie would really be able to take this thing in his own direction. I thought the biggest thing holding the original back was the attempt to please old fans and new fans alike, which kept the film from being neither completely faithful nor completely original. And, now, this thing is taking place at.... a hospital? Really? So they're remaking the

And, now, this thing is taking place at.... a hospital? Really? So they're remaking the SEQUEL, also? Jesus. I hope I've got nothing to worry about. After all, it DOES still have a McDowell performance, so it can't be that bad. But, still, I may owe JediTex a beer after this is all said and done.
