Here are 25 events that led from First Class to X-Men: Days of Future Past

The time travel element that connects the two time periods in between X-MEN: FIRST CLASS and X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST will be confusing to some not well versed in X-Men lore, but that is what the Internet is for. Thanks to viral sites like 25 Moments, we have a quick and easy way to condense sixty years worth of history from 1962 through 2018 into a handy dandy website.

These 25 moments include actual historical events like the JFK assassination and the fall of the Berlin Wall to include various mutants from X-Men history. This alternate history showcases how major world events were both influential for Mutant rights as well as for the eradication of their kind at the hands of governments and the Trask Corporation.

While all 25 are important, once you get to the contemporary years you begin to see events from X-2 and X-MEN 3: THE LAST STAND come into play as well as some big spoilers that you may not want to know until you have seen X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. If anything, the artwork created for these slides is pretty damn cool as we see various recognized characters like Storm, Quicksilver, Wolverine, Magneto, Colossus, and Kitty Pryde inserted into real and imagined events.

I am more excited than ever to see X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST and hope it lives up to the hype built with sites like this. Check out some selected images from the website below and click here to scroll through them all in full screen glory. X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST hits theaters on May 23, 2014.

The incorporation of real-life events into a fictional movie's fabric deserves points. Some of them are a little contrived, but I like that it gives us a solid timeline. Angel died during Occupy Wall Street?

That is how you market a movie to its fanbase

Man, am I the only one who finds these ridiculously cool?

I love the alternate universe and time traveling aspects of this movie. These 25 events are a bit contrived and cliche (Guantanamo Bay, Occupy Wall Street...we get it, you're trying to be relevant. Just stop trying SO hard), but having Magneto behind the JFK assassination, Trask having something to do with Nixon's shenanigans, and having all those things occur in between First Class and DofP...so cool! It's a shame too many fans are just getting hung up on timeline inconsistencies, "too much"

Really agree, these are a very cool touch to this movie. Love The Bent Bullet viral site as well. Having these big moments in history will really play well in X-Men "Apocalypse", considering Singer said he'll show miracles as mutant occurrences.

Hmmm

As far as i know Nightcrawler is one of the only (im sure there are a few more) characters who showed mutant abilities/looks prior to puberty. If all mutants looked like Colossus and who ever the other baby is i would imagine many would not have been allowed to live.
