Here is the first image from The Human Centipede 3 (Final Sequence)

03.04.2014

The first HUMAN CENTIPEDE was more than enough but director Tom Six had to go ahead and make a sequel. We have known for a while that THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE 3 (FINAL SEQUENCE) was on the way with Eric Roberts joining the cast. The film also features Bree Olsen, Robert Lasardo, and stars of the first two films Dieter Laser and Laurence R. Harvey. Six also confirms that the film will feature the 500 person centipede we have been hearing rumors of.

As to what THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE (FINAL SEQUENCE) will be about, Tom Six spoke with Entertainment Weekly and shared these details about the film.

"THC Part 3 will be totally different from Parts 1 and 2 and certainly not as gross, but it will be the most controversial one politically-wise. It will have a lot of self-mockery and will be the most darkly comical of the three. Parts 1 and 2 have a very European feel. Part 3 is very American with the highest budget, a big movie score, widescreen, and an XXL human centipede. It’s set in an American maximum security prison in the middle of the desert. Plot-wise I won’t share details yet but if you let your imagination run wild you might get ideas.”

Eric Roberts will play a politician in the film which Six claims is horrific, but not a horror film. I don't know how you watch a movie like THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE without thinking that is made purely for shock value and Six's comments about the third make it sound like more of the same. Six claims this may be the final film as he always planned for the movie to be a trilogy that can be watched end to end and connect like, well, you know.

THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE (FINAL SEQUENCE) has no release date but expect to see it sometime this year.

The point of horror is to terrify or scare you. Tom Six did it so brilliantly with the first Human Centipede movie that people sent him death threats. Why? Because they were scared a human would come up with such an idea. It's brilliant. All art movies or film but especially a genre like horror should push the envelope, challenge people, and even disgust some. It is a terrifying idea and it obviously worked, so therefore brilliant.

Never been tempted to watch either of these films - there's some stuff you just don't need to see. I can't judge the films' quality, so I can't criticise them, but sometimes you just have to say "nah - not for me". To each their own, though.

The entire point of a horror film shouldn't be just to gross the audience out. Yes, the best horror films have gross-out moments, but that's not what they're built upon.

yes!

I can't wait! The first two are great horror films that both fulfill the purpose of what a horror film should be. The fact that half the people commenting seem to not have seen either and yet hate on then is ironic and hilarious.

I'm gonna put myself out there and say that the first one had potential. The biggest thing it had going for it was Dieter Lasser, whom I thought was a pretty solid actor playing a pretty wicked and disturbing villain. The second one was just an aimless gross-out fest, although I will say that one also had a good villain. Here, I see the two villains playing what appear to be totally different characters. Lasser looks like the sheriff Michael Parks plays in every Tarantino film. I just have

I just have no idea what's going on here, but I suppose trying to figure that out would be an exercise in futility if there ever was one.

I'm with you. I actually thought it was a well done, creepy movie. The graphic nature you assume will be in the movie, isn't nearly as bad as you would think. The worst things that happen in the film, IMHO, are not actually depicted on screen. For instance..they don't show the operation. The good Dr. tells his patients what he will be doing, with the aid of a diagram. There are quite a few other moments that are cringeworthy, mostly because of what we imagine is happening, as opposed to seeing

Clearly it's not the type of movie for everyone. And part 2...well, that had to have been made to see how much Six could push the envelope. That movie was brutal!!

Never bought into this series... just thought they made a movie with the most disgusting premise because they could. Also appears they've been able to find the strangest looking human beings to appear in these movies too.

I never saw any of them. I don't have much interest. I own over 500 horror movies on bluray and dvd, but I just cant get into this series. This and the Paranormal Activity films have really started to make me doubt the future of horror. Then again I loved the new Texas Chainsaw movie and You're Next - so there is still hope.

Fuck this movie.

I've been more than a casual fan of horror movies for more than 30 years, and I can't believe there are enough people willing to watch this shit enough for it to have spawned two sequels. Like Nevekian said, there are so many other films that should be made instead of this.

For everyone of these greenlighted...

Something that has never been done before, like Lovecraft stuff or original stories that could change the face of horror films, is passed over. Shame...
