Here's a bunch of new images from The Amazing Spider-Man 2

03.27.2014

Is it May yet? Well, geez, youíd think it was with all this stuff from THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 thatís been hitting the net. I love Spidey as much as the next person, but I think they may have gone overboard on the marketing here. Perhaps they just want to show off, and are super proud of the sequel. Either way, if I didnít see another piece of material from this flick until it came out, Iíd be fine with that. Iím going to check it out.

Entertainment Weekly dropped new images from the film. We get another look at Green Goblin Jr. and Rhino mech with Paul Giamatti snuggled all sweaty inside. Looking at this pics, Iím still wondering what they are going to do with Gwen Stacy. Should be interesting, folks.

Check the pics out below.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 hits theaters on May 2, 2014.

I have liked the look of most of this movie except for the Rhino, who was always my favorite Spidey villian. I would prefer Giamatti for Doctor octopus rather than the Rhino. Rhino should be played by someone that doesn't speak much (or chews scenery like Giamatti does) and has the build for it like Brock Lesnar as a big mean thug for hire in a suit that increases strength charging through crowds of people and cars. Now that is what I always pictured.

I watched the first Amazing Spider-Man movie a few days ago and the whole time I was thinking, "Dear God. Do I have to sit thru Peter Parker's origin story again?" Other than that boredom I liked the look of the movie and the fact that just like in the comics PP used web shooting devices and didn't shoot them naturally out of his wrists (spiders actually shoot it out of their ass).
Now that the origin story is over we can finally get to the good stuff.

Although I don't like Green Goblin's make-up, the glider is pretty awesome.

Did Sony buy stock in Joblo.com?

These Spider-Man articles really seem to be trying to tell me I am going to see this movie.

"maybe they are just proud"

Take that superpowered spidey penis out of your mouth. Its called damage control.

The Rhino mech looks pretty awesome but I think the Green Goblin looks absolutely ridiculous, All of the shots of Spider-Man himself seriously look like a page out of a Mark Bagley era comic come to life, which is pretty rad. I have no clue whether this will be better or worse than the last one, but I am really crossing my fingers that it's good.

I agree with the posters below.

This is just horrible. I think we seriously all have a great understanding of what the 'big' plot developments will be. So it's probably going to be Rhino in the beginning, electro in the middle and goblin at the end of the movie. With a big character in the balance of dying at the end.

I was discussing this with some of my friends and I think if Sony really wants to do the Sinister Six thing, have them kill off Spidey in the next movie. Just have him absolutely humiliated and just destroy

Just have him absolutely humiliated and just destroy the character. They would make a boat load of money just on pure shock value alone. Hell they could wait 5 years and reboot it and just not address anything. Have a new actor and just start over with no fucking origin story. Do your sinister six movies in between the 5 year gap and be done with Spider-Man for a while. They would be the first big studio to kill off a main character of a franchise. Obviously they need to talk it over with the stock holders and whatnot and tell them to keep cool and not sell off, but I think it could be great.

We know you will! Don't you have an opinion besides saying the same thing about evey movie you like. Do you feel you've seen the movie before it even came out? In genuinely curious about your opinions about things other than what you like and your hopeless optimism.

@Jimthepariah, when writing your response, did you think it would be perceived as anything but you being a complete asshole?

I'm willing to give any film a chance if it looks good and looks like it was handled with care and heart. I'm not the biggest fan of the first rebooted film, but it has grown on me and the sequel does looks much better in every way. I just hope the story this time is much better than the first film.

And I know I have gone back and forth on this film many times on several articles, but the Spider Man fan in me wants this film to be great because in all honestly Spider Man may be my favorite

I want to see another great Spider Man film and look forward to all of the upcoming sequels and spin-offs.

This is getting ridiculous

Is Sony not confident in the movie or are they just trying to compete with Marvel to the point they reveal everything?
