The last and final trailer for THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE has arrived. For those who were already fans of the series, this should definitely give you a rather "intense tease" of what the second installment has in-store for you. That's if you haven't already read the book series from Suzanne Collins.

"Would you like to be in a real war?"

Synopsis:

CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.

I'm so happy that this is the franchise that replaces TWILIGHT. I don't know if I could have handled anymore sad, sappy, sparkly tween vampire dramas. THE HUNGER GAMES offers a heroine worthy of following. Not to mention I'll take a good dose of Jennifer Lawrence anytime.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE hits theaters on November 22, 2013.

Never quite understood why they called it Catching Fire, which just seems generic in nature. Quarter Quell would have made much more sense as a title that encapsulates the book's content. But c'est la vie. Yes, THG is leaps and bounds ahead of Twilight for many reasons, but none greater than the fact that the protagonist is a real heroine that can be looked up to, and not just a victim who needs to be constantly rescued.

That said, I found the book very slow for the first 2/3rds. It

That said, I found the book very slow for the first 2/3rds. It wasn't until they started the Quarter Quell when things really picked up. I hope the movie does a better job at maintaining a keen level of interest from beginning to end.

And as the best character in the book, I hope Finnick comes across well here too. :-)

And I still believe they are going to split Mockingjay into two films, which I always find disappointing.

Looking forward to it. I too am glad this is the franchise that replaces Twilight - it really is a whole 'nother level. Superficially, they may seem similar - young adult novel adaptations, female lead, love triangle - but I think The Hunger Games has a lot more depth and sophistication, a far, far stronger protagonist and a much stronger cast of actors. I wholly agree with Stratburst that it is a disservice to The Hunger Games to equate it with Twilight.

Just hope that once the games start that it doesn't bore the shit out of me like the first movie. Amazing build-up to the games but the movie torpedoed once they started.

So much better than TWILIGHT

I'm actually starting to think the comparison insults THE HUNGER GAMES. I really like the cast, with the possible exception of Josh Hutcherson, but I hope this director (too lazy to look up the name) directs better action sequences. That was the big disappointment of the first movie.

Looks fantastic. Very much looking forward to this one. This and Thor are just going to dominate the November box office.
