Here's the trailer for Adam Sandler's 1st Netflix exclusive The Ridiculous 6

10.27.2015

When his long-lost outlaw father returns, Tommy "White Knife" Stockburn (Adam Sandler) goes on an adventure-filled journey across the Old West with his five brothers. I'm sure that's about all the plot you really need when it comes to an Adam Sandler flick, but we have the first trailer for the film as well as the premiere date, which will be December 11th. Take a look!

As much as I bash Sandler flicks nowadays, the sad fact is that there's an audience for them. I've never been so painfully aware of a group of people collecting a paycheck, but that's just a part of the filmmaking business. As long as they keep making money, Hollywood will keep pumping them out. I suppose the silver lining to all this is that theater space doesn't have to be wasted and now I can ignore Adam Sandler from the comfort of my own home.

THE RIDICULOUS 6 hits Netflix on December 11.

did I see Vanilla Ice's name in there?

ok so I wasn't sure I'd be interested in this, but after watching the trailer it has my interest. It's definitely not something I would watch in the theaters. I would imagine most people wouldn't watch this in the theaters, and that's probably why it's not playing in the theaters. We'll see.

I was kind of hoping that when the trailer show all the cast names, the last card would say "AND DID WE MENTION... VANILLA ICE? I KNOW, RIGHT? IT'S CRAZY."

Ironically, the names in the trailer was probably the only thing that made me laugh, only because they announced each name like these are major stars that would draw an audience, instead of Sandler's regular hacks.

Yah check out Red Letter Media's video about the cash grab that is Adam Sandler, multi million dollar budgets to make these turds. He basically has become a con man, but unfortunately for us, the masses are easily conned.

Well Taylor has never looked better.

I can't stand the Happy Madison brand. But the most painful part is that Sandler attracts some damn talented individuals (and Rob Schneider, and Nick Swardson, and Kevin James, etc.). Like Pixels, I look at this and wish it was just made by more competent people.

Still looks better than A Million Ways to Die in the West. Makes me want to watch a double-feature Blazing Saddles and Silverado

The last Adam Sandler movie I liked was Click in 2006, but even that wasn't great. But this trailer raises my attention, so maybe I'll check it out. And if the first few minutes don't win me, I just turn it off.

I'm interested. I don't expect much, but I suspect there's a chance this could actually be mildly amusing and potentially funny. I'll roll the dice. I haven't watched a Sandler anything in nearly a decade.

Isn't Sandler toxic at this point? This looks worse than A Million Ways. Does Sandler indeed have an audience? Because I don't know a single person, nor have I read online, anyone who actually still enjoys his movies. And the western parody hasn't worked since Blazing Saddles.

This looks bad, but no western comedy could be worse than A Million Ways To Die In The West. Very few comedies of any genre are as bad as that movie. At least Sandler can act. Seth MacFarlane was painful to watch.

Adam Sandler may make movies for paid vacations and huge paychecks, but MacFarlane basically made a movie so he could make out with Charlize Theron. Either that, or his ego justified the casting of him as the lead.

What happened to Netflix? I used to love them.
Even with my Amazon Prime subscription, Hulu Plus subscription I've somehow kept them even though I never watch it anymore. All their "new" releases are old movies I would never watch, and now this type mess..
It's way past time for my cancellation.

Netflix lost their deal with Epix. All those new movies can be seen on your other streaming services.

I'm keeping it through October so I can see Jessica Jones and then I'll give it up until the next season of Daredevil.
