Production on JACK REACHER 2 is set to begin in a couple of months with Edward Zwick behind the camera, and Variety has learned that Heroes Reborn's Danika Yarosh is the frontrunner for a significant role in the sequel.
Sources say Paramount was very impressed with Yarosh's chemistry reads with Tom Cruise, however it's possible her Heroes Reborn schedule could prevent her from joining the movie. The 16-year-old newcomer has also appeared in episodes of Shameless, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and See Dad Run. Variety doesn't have any details on the role the actress is up for, but many believe she's being eyed to play the daughter of Cruise's character. The sequel will be based on Never Go Back, the eighteenth book in Lee Child's Reacher series.
Cobie Smulders is reportedly still in talks for JACK REACHER 2, and the studio is currently on the hunt for an actor to portray the film's villain. Who would you like to see play the baddie in the sequel?
