Hi-res images from Steven Spielberg's The Adventures of Tintin are now online

12.30.2010

These are actually old. You'll probably recall these three images from back in early November, taken from the Steven Spielberg-directed THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN: THE SECRET OF THE UNICORN. Now, thanks to SpoilerTV, we can finally get a much better look at them. I think they're even prettier now in all their hi-res, detailed glory. If you were on the fence before, do these change your mind at all?

THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN: THE SECRET OF THE UNICORN, starring Jamie Bell, Daniel Craig, Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Toby Jones, Gad Elmaleh, and Mackenzie Crook, opens December 28, 2011.

Click any of the images below for BIG.

Never really understood Brighton's fascination with Tintin's hairstyle.

The first two pictures are surprising.
There's no desert in THE SECRET OF THE UNICORN.

Uncanny valley applies to CGI that is trying to approximate live-action (like Clu in Tron: Legacy). Tintin is approximating an animation style, so no, you're mistaken.

Blistering Blue Barnacles! Captain Haddock! I only saw the cover of Empire featured Tintin but these look even better. Who's the guy in the Bowler hat? Is that Professor Guy-with-a-long-name? I'm stoked!

untill now, i havenīt seen anything about the movie, and i actually tought it was going to be with real people, but now that i see thatīs just another animated movie, iīm a bit less excited about it, donīt get me wrong, iīm a huge tintin fan, love the books, but i was jazzed about a movie made with people, rather than animated.

still, iīm waiting for a trailer to surface to giva my final judgement :P

I'm not a big fan of motion capture, although this looks great. I am a huge Tintin fan, I read lots of books when I was growing up. Mr. Oldman is right, I also want to see a trailer.

I just want a damn trailer so I can see how this stuff looks in motion. Until then, I'm staying damn neutral.

As Mr Locke said below I don't know a hell of a lot about Tintin but this looks awesome. Jackson and Spielberg rock and I would watch anything they do and especially when they work together.

as little as I know about and/or care about Tintin.. I love Jackson and Spielberg. That makes this a must-see for me.
