Hilarious red-band trailer for The Dictator is here to offend you

Sacha Baron Cohen is at it again and I'm all the happier for it. He's a take it or leave it comedian, so this new red-band trailer may well offend some. For my money, this is comedy gold. I'm sure there will be some that don't enjoy the 9/11 humor and that's respectable, however I think it's fine in the context of this film. I think it's a unique satire of the stereotypes of our culture, which is something Cohen has been tackling since the beginning.
Anyway, here's the red-band hilarity:
I think this is kind of a bold comedy to be made as it's certainly not your run-of-the-mill formula. We've seen the fish-out-of-water story done before, sure, but using a rather evil dictator as the "fish" I find it to be a refreshing take and one that dives into some uneasy moments for the audience, which I love.
It'll be fun to have some teeth-baring, cringe-worthy comedy out this summer amongst the tirade of big-budget bonanzas.
THE DICTATOR opens on May 16th, 2012.

| Extra Tidbit: | We need more John C. Reilly. I'm one of the many hoping for a Stepbrothers 2. Any other takers? |

LOL..
But the "take out the trash" bit killed me. I don't know why, it's so stupid. I just really want to do that when I go into NYC.

Tidbit: No offense...
This film is more and more looking like a precious slice of laughter that is otherwise missing in this summer overcrowded with bombastic action movies. And no, an Adam Sandler "comedy" doesn't count.

Extra Tidbit: John C. Reilly rules. While another 'Step Brothers' would be awesome, I think I'd rather see another spoof movie a la 'Walk Hard'. That movie is a riot.
