Holy Kraken! It's the international trailer for Clash of the Titans!

02.01.2010

Now, here's a film to get really excited about, CLASH OF THE TITANS.

This international trailer does have a lot of the same footage as the first trailer we showed you in December. However, there are a few new bits here and there. It's still worth a watch. I think I'd like to see it in 3D, but honestly, it doesn't matter to me. It should be a fun ride either way.

All I know is that Kraken still looks badass. TITANS will be released March 26, 2010.

Extra Tidbit: Most of you are like, "Sam Worthington WTF?!" But what bothers you about this guy (aside from the fact that he must have an excellent agent)? He's pretty decent in my modest opinion.

Looking forward to a entertaining film, nothing more.

Although I must say, to my knowledge Kraken has nothing to do with Greek Mythology. Kraken is actually a norse sea monster.

Hmmm...

Very much looking forward to it, and thankfully they've replaced "Titans will Clash" with "Damn the Gods". But the Kraken bugs me...his face isn't that of an undersea dweller...more like a mix of some of the stupider Star Wars creatures.

Ho-hum

I can muster no interest in this movie. Partly because of the atrociously cut rock video preview. Partly because Sam Worthington is a block of wood posing as an actor (at least Keanu Reeves has some screen presence and likability). Partly because it has such a mundane, outdated feel. How many times can the camera follow a flying object as it zooms dizzyingly around a giant roving monster?

The preview just bores the hell out of me.

GO SAM!!

I'm from Australia, Sam Worthington has been quite famous for a while here, for atleast 15 years, long before Avatar or Terminator. He's wonderful actor, and deserves the international success he's getting. Plus he's a NIDA graduate, like Cate Blanchett and Mel Gibson. NIDA = Ability to act the shit out of anything.

Sams alright baby

Yes, Sam has had his career handed to him on a silver platter, but it's just wrong to write him off because he's gotten lucky with roles. He's far from a bad actor, and thus far hasn't been given anything really meaty to bite into (Avatar was a great role, but it called from him to be rather ordinary which people mistake fro lack of charisma... Watch any interview he does that isn't a straight up plug and you'll see how down to earth and charming he is). He hasn't really takled anything other

He hasn't really takled anything other than hero in big budget films, and he has been at least good in all of them, often better than good.
If he had done something like say Chopper in Australia before getting the Avatar gig you might be looking at him differently. Unfortunantly he didn't. His day for samller more involved roles will come. But if you were him, and multi million dollar paychecks were being thrown at you, would you say, nah, I'll do this independant thing 10 people int he world are gonna see for pizza and beer money? Hell no, he's doing exactly what he should be doing, taking the big roles and money. Working for chump change on smaller films can be done anytime in his career, you don't see actors getting a run at huge roles like Sam has very often. He's riding his good fortune, good luck to him.

Dude, you're obviously forgetting about his crittically acclaimed roles in Australian movies like Somersault, bootmen, Getting Square and Macbeth. I hate it how everyone thinks American movies are the be all end all. For the most part, American movies suck at the moment.

Worthington is fine in his roles..........

It is his material that sucks (even Avatar). I have no problem with him. However I hated Terminator 4 and Avatar. I thought he was very good in Rogue (Which is vastly underrated).

He was actually the only interesting thing in T4 and him and (believe it or not) Michelle Rodriguez was the only saving grace for me in Avatar. I still will never understand the popularity of Avatar, but I am in the minority I guess. Just felt like an effects show to me with no real style or substance. Also, I

Also, I picked up Ferngully in Sears last week for $5 just because I heard all of the comparisons and it appears the our boy J.C. did in fact rip off a decade old poorly made animated cartoon.

I was really hoping Edge of Darkness would beat Avatar this week, because it really was a great film that was marketed very poorly. IT WAS NOT AN ACTION FILM!!!! It even seems to have gotten poor reviews because reviewers expected an action flick.

Oh, and I am all for this flick. Letterier is awesome! (Unleashed or Danny the Dog, whatever you want to call it, it was great!) Transporter 2 (misunderstood ACTION masterpiece), The Incredible Hulk (Better than Iron Man, If you read the comics you know I am right).

I am all for a Titans remake, I just hate that Worthington does not have the flowing Hamlin mane, but I think I will be able to get past that.

I'm a sucker for Greek Mythology, so this trailer's got me pretty psyched. Perhaps the movie will be good enough to overcome the "meh-ness" of Sam Worthington...

Son of a God!

This is the best trailer yet! I've been psyched for this film since day 1 and the fact that it's now gonna be shown in 3D makes it that much awsome! the backround song from the Used in the trailer fits the mood and feel of the film and always give me goosebumps.

I don't know about everyone else but I totally digg SamWorth, he's an awsome actor and an amazingly crazy action movie star.

I think you mean the Kraken still looks like an uninspired football player monster like every single villain in Gears of War.

Noct got it right. He's not a bad actor but he hasn't done anything that makes him stand out based on his acting . He's just bland. I'll still want to see this movie but could care less if he's in it or not.

Mabey you should go on Imdb and seek out the number of Australian films he has been in. You obviously have no idea what you're talking about, great actor.

Extra tidbit

He's got no charisma. No Character. He'll be famous for being that guy that you don't care about. He's no awful. He's just no good. I can't even think of anyone as boring as him to compare him too. He's just unimpressive.

And I can't get behind this movie. I wish fantasy movies could get out of this kind "badass" mind frame. It's so boring.

I agree that Worthington is "boring" or nondescript to be sure...it's the film in general I'm anxious for.

I've been on board with this cool film since hearing they were thinking about a remake of sorts-for me this is one of the 5 biggies due up in 2010 along w/ Iron Man 2 A Nightmare On Elm Street The Wolfman and Red Dawn-Springs gonna rock!

I dont hate Sam Worthington, but this is his first movie that I am 100% looking forward too. I am annoyed that his current career is based almost solely on hype and not his actual talent level. Plenty of people keep saying how memorable he is, I'm just still waiting to see it and patiently waiting for him to prove himself. In the meantime, every 30 year old male action movie protagonist has his name on the shortlist.

Although this movie might be the last straw as far as "initial hype" will

Not actual talent ? The guy has been praised for his performance in some Austalian movie which lead to being cast here in America, a bit like Eric Bana a couple of years ago.

Yea, its all Hype. Even you say "some Australian movie." Its all word of mouth, and unlike Bana, except for The Hulk, Bana proved himself fairly quickly, while Worthington is still proving unmemorable.

Can't wait for this movie!!!!!

3D or not, I'm sooo there!!! btw, Sam Worthington saved both Terminator Salvation and Avatar ( and Zoe Saldana) for me....so I'm happy he's getting top billing on this....just hope doesn't go the Gerald Butler route and go to romantic comedies and crap action movies ( Terminator Salvation was just a disappointment not a complete flat-out failure like Gamer or Law Abiding Citizen)
