Horror TV Roundup: Twin Peaks, Mr. Mercedes, American Gods, iZombie & more!

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

I was looking through the folder I call "Potential Posts" and saw that there were a f*ck ton of horror TV-related posts that I wanted to bring to your attention. So rather than bombard you guys with an endless stream of half-cooked posts, I decided to throw them all together into one big Horror TV stew!

HORROR TV ROUNDUP

First, we have a new promo from the upcoming TWIN PEAKS revival to share with you. It shows us more than we have seen thus far and you can check out the full promo below! And don't forget, TWIN PEAKS S3 hits Showtime May 21st!

Next, we have the premiere date for the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King's MR. MERCEDES, on the Audience Network. Turns out the new series will be hitting us August 9th!

Then we have the news that Starz has gone ahead and already renewed the Neil Gaiman adaptation AMERICAN GODS for a second season! Too cool, right? Truthfully, I wouldn't know as I have yet to check out the series so far. But let us know what you think of it so far Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram (links below).

Moving on we have news that the CW has renewed its girl-zombie show iZOMBIE for another season – its fourth to be exact. I'm not a fan of the series myself, but I know a special someone out there that digs (no pun intended) herself some damn iZOMBIE, so this post is for you, girl.

Next, we have news that Fox has ordered a full season run of the Adam Scott/Craig Robinson comedy-horror series GHOSTED. The show is set to "chronicle the adventures of a jaded skeptic about the supernatural (Robinson) and a gifted “true believer” (Scott) who are tapped by a covert government agency to investigate an outburst of “unexplained” activity in Los Angeles. What they discover is a bigger-than-imagined mystery that threatens the human race." Could be cool. We'll keep you up to date on whether this is an AITH-type series.

Moving further on down the line we have word that Amazon has greenlit an original one-hour neo-Victorian fantasy CARNIVAL ROW to series. The eight-episode Amazon Original Series will be produced by Legendary Television and written and executive produced by showrunner Rene Echevarria. The series is a fantasy-noir set in a neo-Victorian city. Mythical creatures fleeing their war-torn homeland have gathered in the city, and tensions are simmering between citizens and the growing immigrant population. We follow the investigation of a string of unsolved murders which are eating away at whatever uneasy peace still exists. The series is scheduled to begin filming in the fall of 2018 for a 2019 release.

And, finally, we have word that SYFY is developing a supernatural thriller based on author George R.R. Martin’s (“Game of Thrones”) epic novel NIGHTFLYERS. Set in the future on the eve of Earth’s destruction, a crew of explorers journey on the most advanced ship in the galaxy, The Nightflyer, to intercept a mysterious alien spacecraft that might hold the key to their survival. As the crew members near their destination, they discover that the ship’s artificial intelligence and never-seen captain may be steering them into deadly and unspeakable horrors deep in the dark reaches of space.

All of this news certainly caught MY attention (obviously) so now we want to hear what YOU think of all this new news, renewals, promos, etc. Let us know which bit excites you the most by hitting us up on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

Sara Paxton is in TWIN PEAKS Revival too?! *faints*
