A whole lot of bad things have happened in the fictional town of Castle Rock in the works of Stephen King. Events from his stories THE DEAD ZONE, CUJO, THE DARK HALF, NEEDFUL THINGS, and several others occurred there. So it sounds like the perfect town to set a series in, doesn't it?

That's what J.J. Abrams figured when he joined forces with King and Hulu for the upcoming psychological horror series set in and named after the town. The Castle Rock series is

an original story that combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King's best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland.

Melanie Lynskey, Jane Levy, Bill Skarsgård, Terry O'Quinn, Scott Glenn, André Holland, Sissy Spacek, and Chosen Jacobs star.

We've known that the series was going to be premiering on Hulu sometime in 2018, and now the streaming service has revealed exactly when that premiere is going to happen: the first three episodes of the show's ten episode first season will be available for viewing through Hulu as of July 25th.

Along with the premiere date announcement comes the release of a new teaser, which can be seen below and promises that the show is going to be bringing a lot more creepy happenings to this evil-plagued town.

Castle Rock was developed for television by executive producers Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason. J.J. Abrams, Ben Stephenson, and Liz Glotzer also serve as executive producers on the series, which is a production of Warner Bros. Television and Bad Robot.
