Great Scott! Of course I want this! It’s from one of my favorite movies of all time and fits within my DeLorean collection perfectly. I’m still waiting for the hoverboard, self-lacing shoes and JAWS 19, so this will have to do in the meantime. I’m not sure what took so long to get a decent phone case inspired by BACK TO THE FUTURE made, but not we have it, and it’s so outlandish and detailed, you’ll want it hold it for yourself as soon as possible.
The Japanese toymaker Bandai, most famous for its anime tie-ins, has put together a BACK TO THE FUTURE DeLorean iPhone case. The blue glowing lights we all know and love come on when you switch the phone on and incoming calls are signaled with a flashing of the headlights, as demonstrated in the video below.
The iPhone case fits the iPhone 6 model right now and something else important to note is that the wheels are in hover mode, so sadly you won’t be pushing and pulling this thing on your desk while you work. Is it practical? Probably not. But if you’re hanging around the house all day or taking in a marathon of the trilogy, you might as well go all out.
The case can be ordered through the Premium Bandai online store here for 5,940 yen (US $50). Delivery is scheduled for June.
