Harrison Ford must be a happy man. He'll never have to answer "What's the status of the new INDIANA JONES movie?" at a charity event or some movie premiere again. INDIANA JONES 4 officially starts filming today and will continue throughout the summer. The press release doesn't say where filming is taking place today but I'm guessing they'll begin in Los Angeles before moving to New Haven for the Yale chase scene and then off to international locations. Hopefully Paramount will be kind enough to invite some people to the set for a visit but considering the amount of secrecy I can't guarantee anything. In conjunction with the start of production news release, the film's official site has been updated with a clip of Shia LaBeouf talking about the franchise and joining this movie. It's not exactly groundbreaking stuff, but still nice to see they're getting regular updates over there and it looks as if this video stuff will continue on a semi-regular basis. Stay tuned to JoBlo.com for more on INDIANA JONES as production continues!

Dark Knight, you're a miserable motherfucker, you know that? Every time you post something it's always negative. Spare us your detracting cynicism for once. So what if that pompous old windbag Connery isn't in it, Cate Blanchet,Ray Winstone, and John Hurt are fantastic actors, and LeBeouf, eventhough some feel he's overexposed, has incredible range. It's Speilberg and Indiana Jones. I seriously...

There was a time I'd be excited by news and development of another Indy movie. Maybe I'm just more cynical these days, but I don't see this working. George Lucas involved in the writing makes my skin crawl.

one little prob
To the comment made earlier about the cast being "High Calibre", I agree...up to a point. Having so many accomplished and talented people involved, doesn't it just make Shia Lebouf's involvement that much more vulgar? Broadbent, Wise, Blanchett of course Harrison Ford...and Even Stevens. It almost negates the legitimacy of the rest of the cast. Almost. Maybe his appearance will be brief, but...

Maybe his appearance will be brief, but after all of the glowing stuff heaped upon him by the director, it's clear the production is in lov with this kid. Everytime I hear this kid talk though my head hurts. I'll still be there next may, but I will need a lot of pain killers. Maybe a vicodin factory.

Hope It's Good.
Well. Being Mr. Ravenwood, I couldn't not comment on this... Having been on a stage at Universal (briefly) and having seen some things, I must admit my inclination is to be... displeased that they're making another one... However, "Raiders" is what made me wanna make movies - so if they feel they can close out the series better than with everyone literally riding off into the sunset as they did...

None of these dudes is hurtin for cash.

I'd like to see this be good but the difference in time since the last films complicates things and it never felt necessary...I was happy with the trilogy.

Oh well, we'll see.

Dark Knight?
Connery hammed it up a little, the title is coming, they are playing Harrison's age, the cast is HIGH caliber. This is a Spielberg / Lucas production. Heaven and Earth move for their productions to work out. Always have.

Connery left, main title still unknown (who knows, maybe the script waits to be finished), Harrison too old, cast so-so. It will be miracle if this thing works out.
