Infographic: The Future According to Films

Today is one of those super fun slow days. The movie news land is dry. Not even Tom Selleck is taking a shit today. Not that we would report on that.

I got lucky coming across this really cool infographic, "The Future According to Films + a couple of TV shows". The timeline starts where we are now (2011) and goes all the way to 3001988. The descriptions are pretty entertaining and there are many shenanigans. As if you didn't expect it.

Twitter user @TremulantDesign made this and deserves all the credit for his efforts.

Enjoy!

They got Logan's Run wrong...

Carousel killed people at age 30, not 21. Aside from that, very impressive infographic. Nicely done...

Interesting

One time I was watching a movie on HBO and it had people watching big screen TVs, talking on cell phones and sending instant messages on their computers. It took me a while to realize that it was a science fiction movie from the 50s.

Cool idea but the Logan's Run reference is incorrect. The Last Day age of 21 was in the book...the film's Last Day was at age 30.

Nice

I'd love to see one of these based on interpretations of futures that have gone.

Such as Escape from NY being set in the 90's
