Interview: Prometheus Director Sir Ridley Scott

Sir Ridley Scott made an early impression on my young life. The experience of watching ALIEN was quite literally mind-blowing and forever cemented my love of film. This appreciation for science fiction continued with BLADE RUNNER, a film that only improves with age. Throughout the years, Scott has maintained his status of one of the most influential directors in Hollywood today.

With PROMETHEUS, Scott is making his return to not only sci-fi, but the ALIEN universe as well. While the film has garnered praise and disdain alike, I was extremely impressed with this new – yet familiar – world. When I sat down with the director, we talked about the religious aspects and the epic scale of what can be accomplished. It is so inspiring to see what a kind and thoughtful – and clearly intelligent – man Sir Ridley really is.

PROMETHEUS opens today at a theatre near you!

"Of course we've got action and nasty things...actually, they're pretty wonderful nasty beasts... “

Guys...

I just saw Prometheus and I can truly say I'm a bit disappointed. Its not that it was bad. It just left way too many unanswered questions. (spoilers) I mean why poison Holloway. What point was their to it other than his death. Why did David know and do all that he did. I mean yeah he studied but come on. At least pretend it was difficult to understand an ancient alien language on a wall. Why was Weyland even in the movie. A waist of time as was the revelation that Vickers was his

At least pretend it was difficult to understand an ancient alien language on a wall. Why was Weyland even in the movie. A waist of time as was the revelation that Vickers was his daughter. Who did not see that comming. And finally, why spreed all the crap about how this is not an Aliens prequel and the have Xenomorph show up at the damn end of the movie. It was an Alien prequel you dumb fucks just like you said it was two fucking years ago.

Oh and why the fuck would Shaws character go on to the Engineers home world if she knows damn well she cant do anything to them. And the fact that she has their bio weapons does not mean shit. Its been 2000 years... maybe, just fucking maybe they have increased in technology. I mean I don't see a cutter sailing into New York Harbor with smallpox in the sheets much of a threat now a days.
