Is this concept art from Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy?

Today, we have a look at some potential pre-production artwork for two of Marvel's Phase Two films, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY.  I say "potential" because there's no official confirmation and if it's a leak it won't last long.  Still, it's pretty cool and definitely looks legit.

First up is a pretty sweet looking piece of work for CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, which shows Bucky/aka The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) taking a swing at Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans).  From the looks of the art, it would seem that Cap will be doing some work out of costume, while The Winter Soldier seems to be in full costume, complete with his bionic arm on display.  For fans of the comic, the image is a good indicator that we'll see a proper translation of Ed Brubabker's Winter Soldier run in the comics.

Next up is a series of shots said to be from director James Gunn's GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, featuring a dark, cavernous looking environment with a figure surrounded by small orbs of light, a few sleek-looking spacecraft with a city in the background, and finally a "Cantina-like" scene with Rocket Raccoon, Drax, Gamora, Groot, and Star-Lord.  Some pretty cool stuff overall.  I love seeing this kind of work, as it gives a good peek into the final renditions of the characters, but also the process and intentions of the design team overall.

According to a source at onlocationvacation, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER has begun filming in Los Angeles, with a release date set for April 4, 2014 (one year away!) while James Gunn is currently in London prepping to begin GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, which is set to debut on August 1, 2014.

Extra Tidbit: I'd personally love to see a The Winter Soldier spin-off film, based purely on his comic book incarnation, but that will likely take a good sell of the character in the Cap sequel. Which character would you like to see get their own spin-off?

I have such a good feeling with Guardians and how they'll connect it with Avengers 2

This is going to be great. I'm glad Marvel is embracing something completely different from what they've done in the past. I'm sure this will connect well with The Avengers 2, but I'm a bit curious. Will these characters also be in The Avengers 2?

I love Marvel or DC Sci-Fi movies!!!

I keep saying we don't need Earth in order for the audience to relate to the story! We just need good characters and a good story..PERIOD!
Ok here is a list of Movies that could just stay in OUTER SPACE and Be Better for IT!!
-THOR
-Green Lantern Corp. (I WISH)
-Guardians of the Galaxy
I know theres more but I just can't think of em at this moment.

The idea of a Marvel Sci-Fi movie really excites me. I have a good feeling about Guardians of the Galaxy

Extra Tidbit

Hawkeye!

Jeremey Renner seems to be the go to action guy at the moment, but for some reason has yet to really get his due. He's either had main parts in shit action films (Hansel & Gretel) or pointless ones (The Bourne Legacy), or he gets bit parts in good action movies (MI: Ghost Protocol, Avengers). I'd like to see Renner take centre stage in a genuinely good action movie, based on the Barton character. The character has a shitload of personality that was sadly a bit sidelined in Avengers,

If it's anything like Hawkeye's current comic book run it could be hilarious.

Well, when I use to read GOTG, one of the characters (I think it was Vance Astro) found Cap's shield in the future and use to use it. But that comic was set like a thousand years it the future. I don't know how they would incorporate Cap from our time unless they're either going to mess with time travel or arternate time lines.

Thats the original GOTG. The movie is about the more recent run of GOTG. Different team, although Vance Astro does end up travelling from the future.
