It's a full on Jack attack in the full trailer for 24: Live Another Day

24 is back in two months, people! It has been far too long since we have heard Jack Bauer utter a gravel-voiced "damn it" while pursuing international terrorists around the United States with nary a meal or a bathroom break. While Kiefer Sutherland tried to fill time with his two season series TOUCH, he could not deny the allure of returning to his trademark role as CTU agent Jack Bauer for the shortened 12 episode 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY.

FOX has released a brand new trailer for the upcoming mini-series and despite being relocated to merry old England, 24 looks like it never left the airwaves. With returning cast Mary Lynn Rajskub, William Devane, and Kim Raver in tow, we also get new faces in the form of Benjamin Bratt and Yvonne Strahovski to help Sutherland kick all sorts of ass in the U.K.

Set and shot in London, the suspenseful event series once again will follow the exploits of heroic agent JACK BAUER (Sutherland). Four years ago, Jack was a fugitive from justice. Now an exile, he nevertheless is willing to risk his life and freedom to avert yet another global disaster. Tracking Jack are CIA head STEVE HARRIS (Benjamin Bratt, "Law & Order"); CIA agent KATE MORGAN (Yvonne Strahovski, "Dexter"), who is both resourceful and ruthless; JORDAN REED (Giles Matthey, "Jobs"), a smart and sophisticated CIA computer tech; and ERIK RITTER (Gbenga Akinnagbe, "The Wire"), a sharp, strong and arrogant field operative. Calling the shots is JAMES HELLER (William Devane, "The Dark Knight Rises"), now President of the United States. Heller is flanked by his Chief of Staff MARK BOUDREAU (Tate Donovan, "Damages"), who is married to Heller's daughter -- Jack's former flame, AUDREY (Kim Raver, "Revolution"). Meanwhile, a hardened CHLOE O'BRIAN (Mary Lynn Rajskub, "Firewall"), Bauer's CTU confidante, is now working underground with high-profile hacker ADRIAN CROSS (Michael Wincott, "The Crow"). Guest stars on 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY include Golden Globe Award winner Judy Davis ("Life with Judy Garland") and Golden Globe Award nominee Stephen Fry ("Alice in Wonderland," BONES). The harrowing day will have Jack attempting to thwart an unthinkable terrorist attack that could change the world forever.

I am not sure exactly how the show is going to flow with the real-time gimmick gone, but I am certainly looking forward to seeing the show back on television. There are not many action series with production values like 24 so at the very least we will get to see shit blow up real good.

24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY premieres on FOX on May 5th.

In May, the best character on television will be back. Rick Grimes ain't got shit on Jack Bauer.

Only the episodes will be real time. Each subsequent episode will have time jumps to allow the story to travel around and not be locked into a particular area.

Shit can happen in 12 hours and not 24.

The show will only be a half a day, which is fine by me, no need to skip ahead time or anything like that. Some crisis' don't always need to be 24 hours.

The real time aspect isn't really gone. They are just skip several hours a head probably midway through the season.
