It's been confirmed that Breaking Dawn will be made into two separate films

The one TWILIGHT movie that any of you might actually see because of it's crazy ass plot, BREAKING DAWN is definitely going to be broken down into two parts.

Summit sent around a press release confirming the news.

Bill Condon (DREAMGIRLS) will be helming both parts. The first is due out November 18, 2011, which means that the final part will come in 2012. Now the apocalypse is definitely coming! It also shatters the hopes of those who were thinking there would be just one more film released. Twi-mania lives on.

According to the press release, BREAKING DAWN is currently being written by Melissa Rosenberg with Wyck Godfrey (AVP, I, ROBOT), Karen Rosenfelt (THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA) and Stephenie Meyer producing. Production on the first film will start this fall.

I wonder what will happen to the actors and actresses of TWILIGHT once the fandom has run its course. Will Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner turn out to be huge stars? I've seen a couple of posts (not sarcastic) that Lautner will probably end up being a big name in action films. I have a feeling the second tier of the cast will go on to do shitty movies then fade away onto something from Lifetime. Then eventually obscurity. What do you think?

Extra Tidbit: I doubt you'll brave the theaters, but you'll see it on DVD out of sheer hellish curiosity.
