It's The Longest Week for Olivia Wilde, Jason Bateman, and Billy Crudup

THE LONGEST WEEK, starring Jason Bateman, Olivia Wilde, and Billy Crudup, has let loose some stills from the film, giving us a peek at what to expect from the comedy/drama/romance.  The pic is directed by first-time feature director Peter Glanz and judging from the images looks to have some class and style.

Get Wilde:

Here's the official synopsis:

When Conrad’s (Bateman) wealthy parents took a 20 year vacation to Paris, they left him to be raised by their Hotel staff at the age of 11. Now in his early 30’s, Conrad’s troubled life is filled with chasing girls, relaxing, and enjoying all the comforts of a prestigious hotel. However, all that changes when his parents’ divorce, ending his trust fund and forcing him out on the street. After some advice and 200 dollars from his therapist, hilarity ensues as Conrad begins his new life. Broke, homeless, and single, Conrad moves in with an old friend, Dylan(Crudup), while trying to sort his life together. Conrad finally meets the girl of his dreams, Beatrice (Wilde) and realizes this is the girl to turn his life around; although he soon discovers she is actually Dylan’s girlfriend! Will he be able to keep his friendship with Conrad and still win over the love his life, or does everything come crashing down as he is in way over his head?

I'm a fan of all three main actors, so the interest is there and the images harken to a classy kind of feel.  Maybe it's just all the suits, tuxedos, and hotels.  And, really, who can get tired of looking at Olivia Wilde?  She chould hypnotize you if you make eye contact, like a vampire in True Blood.

It's a little too close to call it, but I'll call this a good tease.  A trailer will be much more telling, obviously, but I'm interested to see if it's a theater-worthy venture.

THE LONGEST WEEK is expected to open sometime in 2012.  Stay tuned.

Extra Tidbit: Why isn't Billy Crudup in more leading roles? I'm a big fan of Without Limits, one of his first films, where he played legendary runner Steve Prefontaine. Check it out.

I'd never heard of this movie. I will say that those photos do a lot to sell the movie in a way that a trailer might not. If they pick the wrong cheesy song to run during the trailer, my interest could diminish just as quickly. Rarely do movie stills speak to me as much as these seem to be doing. Just kind of weird.

I usually don't like biographic films, with that being said, Without Limits could have gone so boring and cheesy but thanks to Crudup's charisma (and the always awesome Sutherland) it ended up being an excellent film. Is definitely worthy of checking it out.

BTW, the cast alone of TLW puts it into my radar now, thanks for the info Paul.

I saw a test screening of Without Limits before it hit theaters and was really hoping it would be a hit. Unfortunately it kind of eeked by.

It was also the first DVD I ever owned. Wild.

My second DVD was Blade. After that it was a cavalcade of excess and greed, which has filled multiple CD cases and storage racks.
