Jack Bauer's back- 24 movie to start shooting next Spring?

It looks like that long-planned 24 feature film will actually be happening. Imagine Entertainment and 20th Century Fox have commissioned Mark Bomback (THE WOLVERINE, SHADOW DIVERS) to turn in a script by the end of the year, because they need to get cranking on this thing.

Why so soon? They need to start shooting in April, since that's when's Kiefer Sutherland's available. There's no 24 film without Jack Bauer, after all. This would fit in with producer Brian Glazer's schedule too, since he'll be done with the Oscars right before production begins.

Tony Scott is not attached to direct anymore, nor are any of the half a dozen other rumored directors. We'll let you know when one's chosen.

SPOILERS! for those who did not see the last season and especially the final episode. As far as what the story is, obviously has to have something to do with Jack being on the run from both the US and Russia given how the show ended. They can't just ignore how the show ended. There has to be some closure there. Been waiting for this for sooooooo long! So excited to see it finally come to fruition! :)

I am excited for this. 24 was one of the first shows that I started watching religiously.

I am a little disapointed that I won't be able to see a Tony Scott styled world of 24, but I'm still excited for this, nonetheless.

It's about time! Just get it done and do it like a traditional film, no real time stuff.

24 is one of my favorite shows of all time and Jack Bauer may be the best television character of all time, so yes I am damn excited to hear that the movie is getting done.

They have to bring Tony Almeida back for the movie. I mean other than Jack and Kim he has been in the show since Season 1.

Sounds Good

I have never watched the entire series just a few episodes and have enjoyed them. I am curious as to what the plot for this movie will be and how they will adapted the show to the big screen.

Has the show been off the air enough now for people to not care about this? I think this film is going to have to stand on its own merits to bring in the greenbacks.
