Jack the Ripper claims a victim in Batman: Gotham by Gaslight clip

Batman: Gotham by Gaslight

In just over a month, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will be releasing an R-rated animated feature adaptation of Brian Augustyn and Mike Mignola’s 1989 “Elseworlds” comic BATMAN: GOTHAM BY GASLIGHT, which is set

in an alternative Victorian Age Gotham City, where Batman begins his war on crime while he investigates a new series of murders by Jack the Ripper.

The film’s voice cast includes Bruce Greenwood as Batman / Bruce Wayne, Jennifer Carpenter as Selina Kyle, Scott Patterson as James Gordon, Anthony Stewart Head as Alfred Pennyworth, Yuri Lowenthal as Harvey Dent, John DiMaggio as Chief Bullock, and William Salyers as Hugo Strange. Tara Strong and Kari Wuhrer also did voice work on the feature.

Last month, we shared the trailer for BATMAN: GOTHAM BY GASLIGHT, and this month we have a clip from the film that gives a glimpse of Jack the Ripper in action, crossing paths with a potential victim named Ivy. It’s a creepy serial killer movie moment that indicates this is something a little different from the average Batman cartoon.

BATMAN: GOTHAM BY GASLIGHT will be receiving a Digital release on January 23, 2018, with a Blu-ray and DVD release following on February 6
