Jackson Blows Caviezel

Nov. 12, 2008by:

Jim Caviezel never really took off with filmgoers, and I want to know why. I think it's because he lacks charisma, and unfortunately just isn't big enough for the big screen. So starring alongside Samuel L. Jackson, who is perhaps one of the biggest personalities currently working in Hollywood, may not be the brightest idea. My guess is he's just gonna be swallowed up whole.

Caviezel will play an MI5 agent determined to stop Jackson's character from destroying London and the world with a terrorist tack of epic proportions in the upcoming film called BLOWN. Personally I would love to see Clive Owen in this role seeing as how he's actually um, British but who am I, really. Uh, don't answer that.
Extra Tidbit: Sam Jackson's character's name is Julien Lazard. Sounds about right.

Jim Caviezel is awesome. I'm looking forward to him in new projects.

Caviezel is America's Christian Bale, albeit not as intense. He simply enjoys his privacy. I loved him in Monte Cristo..

Caviezel huh?

Caviezel is always forgettable. The only films I can think of that he starred in are Christ, Frequency, and Thin Red Line, but I don't actually remember his performances in them. It's strange.

"Blown" sounds like the title of a Bill Clinton biopic.

I think it has more to do with intelligence. Jim Caviezel sure is a great actor but I think he chooses roles that challenge him as an actor as opposed to Sam Jackson who chooses roles that challenges the intelligence of the viewer.

Meh. I'd be more interested to hear Samuel L. Jackson was the agent, and Jim Caviezel was the villain.

Mister_Noir:

Why? Jim Caviezel is a GREAT actor. besides, he's the HERO. Why the fuck would I root for a fuckin terrorist villain?? Just because he's Sam jackson? They are both good actors.

Also, why hasnt anyone (especially Joblo) not commented on the title? "Blown"? Awesom.

So, do the filmmakers WANT the audience to be rooting for the villain? Coz that's what's gonna happen. Nobody's gonna give half a fuck what Caviezel's character is trying to accomplish.

Even if they named this movie "Jesus Christ vs. Jules Winnfield" the audience would still be cheering for Samuel L.

hmmm

I think it's either Caviezel's agent that sucks, or maybe Caviezel just enjoys his freedom of choice and chooses to not become a 'celebrity'. If that's his reasoning, then that's okay with me!
