James Cameron says Aliens is his next film to get 3D treatment

I guess with the filming of those new AVATAR sequels set to kick off soon James Cameron has been making the interview rounds as we have shared more than a few Cameron-related posts last week.

Not that I'm complaining. Just saying. Might have something to do with the T2 3D release coming up…

And speaking of James Cameron films getting the 3D treatment looks like the plan is to give his sci-fi action classic ALIENS the third dimension next. That is if the upcoming T2 3D is successful.

James Cameron on ALIENS 3D: 

We haven’t proven the business case yet so ask me again in a couple of weeks if T2 Judgement Day in 3D does well. I think the next title on my list, in terms of fan enthusiasm, would probably have to be Aliens…

Aliens seems to really hold up in people’s minds and that would probably be my next one. But we’ve got to prove the business case here so people have to show up. So show up!

So there you have it, if you want to see ALIENS in 3D at your local multiplex, then you need to get your butt off the couch and hit up a 3D screening of TERMINATOR 2 – which is set to hit August 25th.
