GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 opens in theaters in almost 3 months' time, so that means that director James Gunn is busy putting together the final pieces. One of the last steps in the filmmaking process is the film's score, and right now composer Tyler Bates is at Abbey Road, writing and recording. Earlier this morning, Gunn invited fans over to his Facebook account to check out some of the action, of which you can see below!
There hasn't been a Marvel movie yet with a score that really knocks it out of the park, but Tyler Bates' music for GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY is among one of the better ones. I always get a kick out of seeing an orchestra in action, especially knowing that the film is more or less finished at this point. I can only imagine how excited James Gunn is to share his film with the world, but I can assure him, we're just as excited to see it!
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 hits theaters on May 5, 2017.
