The cast of IT: CHAPTER TWO is looking frightfully good, these days. Not long after learning that Jessica Chastain (MOLLY'S GAME, THE MARTIAN) is set to play a grown-up Beverly Marsh, and that both Bill Hader (INSIDE OUT) and James McAvoy (SPLIT) are floating around the idea of playing the adult versions of Richie Tozier and Bill Denborough, respectively, we've gotten word of another inspired casting call.

Late Tuesday evening, SINISTER and GENERATION KILL actor James Ransone confirmed that he'll be starring as the adult Eddie Kaspbrak in IT: CHAPTER TWO. Consequence of Sound picked up a tweet posted by Ransone that said as much, whose account is private and only able to be viewed by a select few. Ransone then followed the post by adding “Well, it’s official. I will have these very big small shoes to fill. Keep it to yourselves…”

You can see a screengrab of Ransone's original post below:

When Pennywise returns to Derry, Maine, after his 27-year long slumber, director Andy Muschietti and screenwriter Gary Dauberman will once again be back to bring the tale of the terrible clown to a close. Based off of Stephen King's classic novel, IT centers around a group of children who refer to themselves as the "Losers' Club." While living in Derry, each of them is terrorized by a demonic entity known to them as Pennywise, the Dancing Clown (Bill Skarsgard). In time, the kids realize that only by banding together can they defeat Pennywise, and banish it back to the hell from wence it came. Muschietti's 2017 record-breaking horror hit starred Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jeremy Ray Taylor, and Sophia Lillis as the Losers' Club kids.

How do you feel about Ransone joining the cast of IT: CHAPTER TWO? Do you think he'll be a good fit to play the adult version of Eddie? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

IT CHAPTER TWO is expected to float into theaters September 6, 2019.
