Ron Livingston (DINNER FOR SCHMUCKS, BAND OF BROTHERS) and Lili Taylor (PUBLIC ENEMIES, BROOKLYN'S FINEST) are currently in negotiations to take on two important roles in the James Wan horror movie THE CONJURING.  Or rather, the James Wan horror movie formerly known as THE CONJURING, as it is now called UNTITLED WARREN FILES PROJECT.  Arrow In the Head recently reported on the movie and its casting of Patrick Wilson (Wan's own INSIDIOUS) and Vera Fermiga (THE DEPARTED, ORPHAN) as "a husband and wife team of demonologists and psychic investigators who enter the most horrifying case of their career, spirits in a Rhode Island farmhouse."  Now here's where Livingston and Taylor come in, as they'll be playing the couple who own the house in which the spirits are causing all sorts of horrific trouble.

And not just any horrific trouble, but supposedly the real kind of horrific trouble.  "The story is based on the real life tale of the Perron family and their ordeals in the 1970s. When New Line acquired the pitch from the Hayes, it included life rights to the Perron family and the paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren."  The movie is set to shoot in March, and considering its low-budget nature and James Wan's relatively speedy filming style, it shouldn't be too long before this movie is making me scream like a frightened child.

VeraFarmiga

*Vera Farmiga is one hell of a foxy lady, and so it is my duty to include this here.

Extra Tidbit: Wan seems to have carved out a profitable niche for himself, with movies like SAW and INSIDIOUS and now UNTITLED WARREN FILES PROJECT. Would you say his success is well deserved?

I have a lot of time for Wan's movies. Haven't seen a bad one yet. He is making very smart decisions with his choice of movie making whilst seeming to keep the cost down. Other directors should take a leaf out of his book.

Oh, and I love the appearance of the Saw doll 'Billy' in every one of his movies (even Death Sentence).

I enjoy Wan's movies very much & ya he gave us the Saw movies & i thought Dead Silence was creepy fun as well as Insidious, so yes this has my interest. Never saw Death Sentence but heard it was actually quite good.

Loved Insidious. One of the horror movies to TRULY scare me in like the last ten years. Some of the best scares I have ever been terrified by. This sounds just as good and I love the cast that has been assembled for it.

ok

All these actors are great, so Im definitely in. I am hoping this new movie can mimic the first half of INSIDIOUS. The first half had some of the best, and creepiest scares, I believe in any horror movie in the last 10 years. Then, everything after that takes you right out of the movie. So, I am hoping for the best.

Insidious was a really effective ghost story and one of my favorite movies of 2011. It was the first movie since the Exorcist to actually scare me, although it was almost ruined by the teenage boy sitting behind me who kept screaming out loud and saying, "I'm such a pussy," over and over.
That said, I'm excited to see what Wan does next. I'm a fan of all his films, Dead Silence included.

People tend to hate on Dead Silence a lot, but it was creepy, atmospheric and fun.
