Jamie Foxx is Due

Jamie Foxx hosting the 2009 BET Awards

THE SOLOIST must've been equally interesting to make as it was to watch since Jamie Foxx already optioned to flank Robert Downey jr once more, although this time in a more comedic way.

The actor is joining DUE DATE for director Todd Phillips. The film stars Downey as a stressed-out expecting father whose only chance of being home on time for the birth is to hitch a ride with Zack Galifianakis. Foxx hops in as a pal to RDJ and ex-lover to the pregnant mommy played by hottie Michelle Monaghan.

Filming gets underway in the next few weeks with a release set for November 2010. In the meantime Foxx has LAW ABIDING CITIZEN coming out this month. Will this be the first "good" Gerard Butler movie since 300?

Extra Tidbit: I first noticed Foxx in THE GREAT WHITE HYPE. Criminally underrated film.

This just gets better and better.

If Due Date is anywhere near the realm of The Hangover, we're golden.

Plus Law Abiding Citizen looks, and hopefully will be, awesome.

Gotta say I'm a fan of Gerry Butler. After 300, he kicked major ass in Gamer, was hilarious in The Ugly Truth, and was both in RockNRolla.
