Jared Leto continues his Joker transformation for Suicide Squad

03.05.2015

Movie fans everywhere were excited when David Ayer posted the first step of Jared Leto’s Joker transformation; shaving the beard and getting that long hair cut off. Jared himself showed off the next phase of his transformation today via Instagram, a blindingly bleached blond look to prepare for the inevitable green dye job we know is coming.

Several day's earlier Leto's hairstylist posted this photo of some suspicious green dye. That's just about Joker's shade.

I feel fairly confident with Leto’s ability to bring a demented physicality that the role will surely demand, but I suppose it’s too soon to judge anything more than that.

SUICIDE SQUAD begins filming next month for an August 5, 2016 release, so you can expect to see the final phase of Leto’s transformation soon.

They're most likely going Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs... In a cell for 10 mins of screen time, epic escape, and set up for a future Batman movie. I like it

By the look they seem to be going for and what we know about the Joker's involvement in the film, I imagine they're taking a cue off of the Dark Knight Returns version of the character. Locked in a cell, hardly talks, simply schemes. They'll probably add a bit more for him. Most likely he'll be advising the Squad while playing mind games on them. Then he'll escape at the tail end of the movie, setting up a confrontation in the first Batfleck movie. Which makes sense, as many aspects of Batfleck

This was from the DC multiverse comic when The Joker was assigned to Gryffindor. It was the biggest fuck up that talking hat made.

Seriously, why would he be in method at the joker out at some posh/fashion event? I guess he went method in his what... 5 other films? What did he do to really nail his parts in panic room and fight club? And, why is that crest on both sides?

All of this for literally 10 minutes of screen time.

I hope people don't think Joker will have a big role in this movie. He has maybe 10 minutes total of screen time. The film is about the Suicide Squad and Joker is not part of it.

I HOPE you are right. Has that been confirmed? Will the SS try to stop J's bombs or something?

Alec Guiness had less than 10 minutes of screen time in Episode 4. Obi-Wan is still a substantial character. Just because yes not a main character doesn't mean they should be lazy in their prep.

I wasn't suggesting it. He just has no real place IN the actual Squad, and it'd go against his entire character (and...I think this movie will be more bad than good). I agree, but I don't think Obi-Wan comes close to The Joker as American icons/popular characters. Especially with Heaths performance, death, and this guys recent oscar. Whenever Heath died the Internet went nuts ab who should/could play him next, if anyone at all

Maybe he won't have green hair? Why not try something different and keep it the white blond?

He looks like a fashion model. Extra tidbit: Jack Nicholson's Joker is my favorite. Cartoon-wise, Joker in Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.

At this rate there is going to be absolutely nothing left to the imagination about this role by the time the movie comes out. I'm all for Leto playing the Joker but let's leave at least some mystery to it.
