Jason is Number 1...

If memory serves the Beatles were at one point planning a film called Get Back which pretty much fell into oblivion. But fear not, Jason Lee is here. OK, be a little bit afraid...

The View Askew alum and former Earl Hickey will be stepping behind the camera for time travel Comedy GET BACK, from rookie screenwriter Chris McCoy. The story sees a pair of Beatle-maniacs travelling back to 1966 where one of them gets caught in a love triangle with John Lennon and Yoko Ono. I'm not kidding, that's the plot as described by The Hollywood Reporter. To be fair they do go back to the 60s - given enough acid, Yoko could be mistaken for Maggie Q, I guess.

The report also puts Lee back on TV as the lead in a TNT pilot called "Delta Blues", to be exec produced by George Clooney. The show, if picked up, would have Lee play a Memphis cop/Elvis impersonator. And that's on top of appearing in the ALVIN & THE CHIPMUNKS sequel squeakquel. Dude, you need to call Kevin Smith and soon!

Extra Tidbit: I lost track of EARL after season 2. Anybody care to spoil how the show ended?

Ending Of Earl (SPOILERS)
they actually left it as a cliffhanger (not knowing they were getting axed) Crab Man may not be Dodge's biological father.

It all depends on the casting for this one.

I've got a bad feeling about this . . .

I lost mucho respect for Jason Lee ever since he did that crap Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. Okay, he had the last laugh as it was a hit, but I barely made it through to the end. What a piece of shit!

Crossing my fingers
I wonder who's going to play the Beatles. It'll be tough to beat out this scene, though (from Walk Hard): [link]

Paul Rudd as John, Jack Black as Paul, Justin Long as George and Jason Schwartzman as Ringo. Primo!:

I like Lee. But that supposed show you described on TNT has Bruce Campbell written all over it (I hope it was at least considered a Bubba Ho-Tep spin off for a lil while...)

Spoilers!!
It ended on a cliff hanger. It turned out the kid Dodge really is Earls kid, but Earl jr. isn't Crabman's.
