JUSTICE LEAGUE will be the first time audiences get to see Jason Momoa really show off his skills as Aquaman, but the man is just now gearing up to head off to Australia to shoot his solo flick. As you can imagine, that involves a lot of prep work, including fight choreography. The Instagram account of the athletic apparel company Hyperfly has uploaded some footage of Momoa in action at 87Eleven (a facility founded by JOHN WICK's Chad Stahelski and David Leitch), in what appears to be a sword fight! I've always appreciated the amount of time filmmakers put in just to assemble 2 hours worth of material. It really boggles the mind! I can't say that I have any affinity for Aquaman either way, but Momoa did a lot with his role as Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones, so I think the majority is rooting for him. AQUAMAN is said to be much more of "swashbuckling tale", so I'm curious to see what director James Wan and Co. have in-store for us!
AQUAMAN will open in theaters on October 5, 2018.
