Jeff Goldblum, Oliver Platt, and Aubrey Plaza join Johnny Depp in David Koepp’s Mortdecai

The cast for the upcoming action-comedy MORTDECAI was already pretty solid, and now three more great actors have agreed to star in the film. The Wrap is reporting that Jeff Goldblum, Oliver Platt, and Aubrey Plaza have signed on for MORTDECAI, joining Johnny Depp, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor, Olivia Munn, and Paul Bettany. MORTDECAI comes from director David Koepp (PREMIUM RUSH, SECRET WINDOW, STIR OF ECHOES), and is based on Kryil Bonfiglioli's books from The Mortdecai Trilogy.

Plot:

Juggling some angry Russians, the British MI5, his impossibly leggy wife and an international terrorist, debonair art dealer and part-time rogue Charlie Mortdecai (Depp) must traverse the globe armed only with his good looks and special charm in a race to recover a stolen painting rumored to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold.

Oliver Platt and Jeff Goldblum in the same movie? That's just awesome. Aubrey Plaza is a great addition to MORTDECAI as well, however I have a special spot for both of those actors in my heart. Plaza has a special spot too, but it's a little south of my heart…

MORTDECAI currently doesn't have a release date, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was released sometime in 2014.
