Jessica Chastain officially in talks to float for It: Chapter 2

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Well how do you like that? Sometimes dream castings really do come true!

Moments ago, word floated down that Jessica Chastain is in talks to play the grown-up version of Beverly Marsh, the female member of the Losers' Club, for director Andy Muschietti's IT: CHAPTER 2. Sophia Lillis portrayed the character in last year's smash-horror-hit.

For the moment, we know that Gary Dauberman is hard at work writing the script for the much-anticipated sequel while Bill Skarsgård is already set to reprise his role as Pennywise the Dancing Clown.

After the success of the first film, the young cast members of Muschietti's fright-fest were asked to chose who they would like to play their adult versions for the sequel. Karmically enough, Sophia Lillis named Chastain as her pick. Now we've just got to get Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Christian Bale, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt to sign on the dotted line.

IT: CHAPTER 2 is set to float into theaters beginning on September 6, 2019.
