by: Omar Aviles Nov. 12, 2008

A couple of new pics and a brand new TV spot have surfaced getting us up close and personal with hideously scarred criminal mastermind Jigsaw in the upcoming PUNISHER: WAR ZONE. In the film, when revenge fueled vigilante Frank Castle aka The Punisher leaves Billy Russoti all Frankenstein, he seeks to eff Castle's shit up as Jigsaw. Click the pics to get a close look at the hideousness and get the TV spot courtesy of "Comic Book Movies" HERE. Jigsaw and Punisher go at it December 5th.

If Jane was back I would be excited. Since he isn't I'll wait for the DVD.

I love the Punisher, but this really doesn't look very good.

And just to clear up that tidbit about the line: "There are times I'd like to get my hands on God" was taken directly from one of the comics, right after Castle offed a couple of parents who were making kiddie porn with their children. And just to clear up that tidbit about the line: "There are times I'd like to get my hands on God" was taken directly from one of the comics, right after Castle offed a couple of parents who were making kiddie porn with their children. In that case, the line was quiet effective, as it fit perfectly with the overall mood of the story. Here, though, it's taken completely out of context, and just sounds silly.

Of course, what's even sillier is the fact that they're taking a whole bunch of different villains (primarily from Garth Ennis's MAX run) and throwing them all together in one movie. When will they ever learn?

As previously mentioned . . .
Tommy Lee Jones wore a suit with two different halves. In the picture, Jigsaw's suit is not split in half with two different designs; there is a guy behind him. If you look longer than one second, you will see that this would give him three hands and that his shoulder would be oddly bent. Besides, why should we care about the horrible interpretation of Two Face that Joel Schumacher brought...

As for the extra tidbit, I agree the line is awful and completely useless. What effect were they going for? Was laughter it?

We don't. It would've been worse if it was used in this movie.

don't worry powerbomb, judging by half of the people's reactions to this movie.. you're not alone.

And I'm with you. This movie looks terrible.

I hate to sound like a negative Nancy. I love sequels and I love movies in general and I really don't care what the source material or how original or lack there of a movie is. But I can't help but look at this movie and hate it.

"Looking forward to seeing this, but still pissed that Thomas Jane did not come back for it."

Same here.

I'm just glad we're getting an R rated action flick this winter.

Although, I do give SOME credit to whoever did Jigsaw's makeup, purely because when the action figure comes out, it'll look EXACTLY like the guy in the movie.

...Not a compliment.

Holy shit this looks bad.

I mean, REALLY bad. Straight-to-DVD calibre.

Shitty acting. Shitty production values. The whole thing has the stench of an impending trainwreck surrounding it.

i like the scratch texturing on those stills.

This line is trying to be "God's gonna sit this one out" from the first film, but it's just not as good, haha.

Yeah, it's not a two-tone suit, there's just a guy behind him. It caught me off-guard at first.

As for the Joker thing, I believe this film was in production at about the same time as TDK, so I doubt that's possible. He just seems kind of kooky, in an insanely awesome sort of way.

I guess the character Microchip is in the movie.

P.S I don't think he is meant to look like two face. It seems like an optical illusion and there is a dude sitting on the other side of him.

Two-Face much?
It looks like Jigsaw's suit is half one style and half another design. Are they really planning on ripping off Two-Face like that?
