Jim Carrey is wanted for a role in Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Wall

Oh, how I’d love to tell you that this casting involved both Jim Carrey, and Conan O’Brien, but sadly it does not.

However, I still think it’s a cool deal that Carrey is currently being courted for a role in KICK-ASS 2: BALLS TO THE WALL. Universal wants him to become Colonel Stars, “who helps galvanize the team of misfit super heroes assembled to fight evil.” The character is a little odd too say the least, I think he might be a tad bi-polar, or is perhaps just a modest guy in a brave man’s costume. I’d direct you to the character bio, but then you’d run straight into a spoiler.

Remember when he got together with O’Brien to sing a cover of Five For Fighting’s “Superman (It’s Not Easy)”? Carrey was dressed as Kick-Ass, as you can see above. Turns out, he is a huge fan of Matthew Vaughn and the first KICK-ASS movie. No word on if Carrey is even interested in taking the part.

If Carrey joins, he will be accompanied by Chloe Moretz, Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, John Leguizamo, Donald Faison and Morris Chestnut. Jeff Wadlow (NEVER BACK DOWN) is in the director’s chair this time around.
