If you thought the concept behind LUCY sounded dumb, you're certainly not the only one. Despite the whole "using only 10% of our brain" theory being refuted long ago, that seems to be the plot point on which Luc Besson's LUCY hangs on. Well, at the very least, the one they're pushing in the trailers. It seems something this dumb deserves to be presented by the professionals. Enter: Jim Carrey.
LUCY just recently cracked $100 million, so it looks like it was a fun ride for most people. As for myself, I'm lookin' forward to the Farrelly brothers follow-up. This movie looks stupid in the best way possible and it's great to see Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels together again, especially given Daniels' more recent turn on HBO's The Newsroom.
DUMB AND DUMBER TO will be released on November 14, 2014.
