While the cat's away...

My brother from another mother and host of The JoBlo Movie Podcast, Jim Law, needed to get out of Canada, ASAFP. So he and the missus grabbed the first flight out of Canada for some R&R in beautiful Santa Monica. I, on the other hand, am a firm believer in "the show must go on", so after hitting up a strip club with my strep throat (yes, I'm still sick) I called JoBlo.com utility player Jenna Busch for an inspired podcast filled with wine and talk of destroying the HOLLYWOOD sign. Here's some other shit we talked about:

-During New Releases, Jenna and I discuss the aliens in Planet 51. Jenna thinks they look like Sea Monkeys. I liken them to boogers that are often show in cold and flu commercials (found HERE). I'm so cultured.

-Chuck Palahniuk rules. Jenna says that he's one of her favorite interviews ever. I interviewed Taylor Lautner, I throw in. She has too. Jenna 94, Moreno 0.

-Jenna didn't like Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans. But said Nic Cage's hair looks phenomenal. Then we discuss our mutual love for Nic Cage Japanese commercials (found HERE).

-During Thread of the Week, we discuss movies that are considered bad but we still love. It is here I discuss my love for Saving Silverman and The New Guy that is met with silence. As it should be. I miss Jim Law. Jenna is in love with the Death Race remake.

-Jenna Busch loved the volleyball game in Top Gun. I liked it for another reason. She also has a phobia of clowns. I hate people dressed up as animals.

-Go to my Movie Fan Central page for the ol' Caption the Pic contest (right HERE)! This week's winner will win the Blu-ray edition of Fight Club. YES!

-Jenna is doing the makeup for the Nightmare on Elm Street documentary. I make a doody joke. Hilarity ensues. In my mind.

-To wrap up, Jenna and I discuss movies based on board games, and wonder why there's no Connect Four or Boggle game. I also give my theory as to why studios are greenlighting these movies. This theory is not well thought out. Also, who would direct a movie from the game Shoots and Ladders? Two words: John fucking Woo.

Feel free to drop us a line at [email protected] and ask which Hollywood actor Jim Law spied getting very angry at a car rental agency. You can also subscribe to the show for free using the links below and/or listen to us via our fancy new streaming thingy after the links.
