Johnny Moreno and I get ourselves pumped for the long awaited arrival of PREDATORS. I have high hopes for DESPICABLE ME. I check out the awesomeness of HOT TUB TIME MACHINE and revisit SUPERBAD and THE CROW while Moreno finds out how well JURASSIC PARK holds up. We also give away a copy of THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO, take another voicemail, and throw in our two cents on the new SPIDER-MAN casting.

We've opened up our phone lines to you, the listener, so we can hear all your questions, rants, thoughts, or outright insults for us on The JoBlo Movie Podcast. Give us a call at (347)408-0460 and leave us a voicemail that might end up being answered on the show by Moreno and me.

Great Show

The reason Once Upon A Time In Mexico wasn't so good is because Robert Rodriguez didn't care for the movie. The only reason he did it was so he could use the new LucasFilm HD cameras that had come out. The studio had been bugging him for years to sequelize Desperado and he would always blow them off. Then the actors strike was coming and he wanted to use these new toys and figure that this movie would be the only way. He called the studio told him he had a draft, then wrote one is three or four

The only reason he did it was so he could use the new LucasFilm HD cameras that had come out. The studio had been bugging him for years to sequelize Desperado and he would always blow them off. Then the actors strike was coming and he wanted to use these new toys and figure that this movie would be the only way. He called the studio told him he had a draft, then wrote one is three or four days. Writing out (killing off) Salma cause she had another movie before the strike and he didn't want to wait (Her back story were "re-shoots"). He shot it in 21 days or something ridiculous like that (Depp done in 9 days.) Principle photography was shot mid 2001 but the film was edited and released in 2003. RR had to make Spy Kids 2 and 3 before finishing OUATIM. RR is good when he takes his time but when he is left to his own devices he can rush through things.
