The great Jimmy O makes his annual Halloween visit to the show so we can all rave about PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3. Before that, I get emotionally destroyed by DEAR ZACHERY and Moreno gets kicked in the balls by CATCHING HELL. We also review the 'Walking Dead' season premiere, talk a little about TRESSPASS before I have to throw up, and decide what films we'd like to bring frivolous lawsuits against. Moreno also checks out PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 and there's the disapointing debut of our new assistant, Siri.

We've opened up our phone lines to you, the listener, so we can hear all your questions, rants, thoughts, or outright insults for us on The JoBlo Movie Podcast. Give us a call at (347)408-0460 and leave us a voicemail that might end up being answered on the show by Moreno and me.

"It makes the whole franchise better!" - Law

"One of the most important documentaries ever made." - Jimmy O

"If Chuck Liddell touched the ball, shit would be different." - Moreno

"Meh." - Jimmy O

I think if you look back at scary movie history, you'll see a milestone in every generation. It's like that in almost every genre of entertainment, actually. Look at TV or music or movies and you will find a milestone in almost every generation. I am saddened to say, as an entertainment lover and being 23, my generation has not contributed lovingly to anything. In music, we have created hate-growing rap music. In TV, we'll be known for the rise of the reality television show. And in movies,
I think if you look back at scary movie history, you'll see a milestone in every generation. And in movies, we'll be known as the generation that found a way to let computers be the stars instead of finding people who could really act. There are exceptions to this, but as a whole, how much of what has happened here will be put next to the likes of Casablanca or Clint Eastwood or Stevie Wonder or M*A*S*H. I'm grateful for the Paranormal Activity saga thus far because they are horror movies that I think will uphold the test of time. One of the few from us. Movies that defined a genre (the found footage format. We can claim it was Blair Witch . . . but no.) and had to rely on genius instead of gore or effects. Say it was lame all you want, but these movies genuinely creeped out a vast majority of us (me included, and I watch so many scary movies that that's a feat.) I can't wait to see what these movies have to offer. I was naysayer to the sequel and to the third one, only because I loved the original so much and didn't want it ruined. But I have been consistently proven wrong. Simply can't wait for the next reason this movie gives me to freeze when I'm alone in a room because I heard something I couldn't rationalize in my brain . . . . and then realize it was the f***ing refridgerator.
