Johnny Moreno is back in action and he brings some new sounders, booze, and JoBlo.com staffer, Niki Stephens, with him to make up for his no-show last week. All is forgiven as we dive balls deep into the strangest group of Best Picture nominations of all time. Niki tries to defend TWILIGHT for at least 12 seconds and yells at us for being assholes to her at Comic Con. THE BLIND SIDE sucks.

We break down all the nominations and give our picks for best picture.
I have issues with THE BLIND SIDE. I'm trying to work them out.

And if you notice... The Best Picture category's main theme this year is white guilt (District 9, Avatar, The Blind Side, Precious) White man (or Sandra Bullock) infiltrates society he or Bullock know...

Or a bunch of uppity white people go see Precious and think they're experiencing what "it's really like."

I would've liked to have seen MOON, my favorite movie of last year. If they're going to nominate District 9, I would've liked to have seen Star Trek in there too.
