Joe and Anthony Russo will return for Captain America 3
Towards the end of January, Variety reported that CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLIDER directors Joe and Anthony Russo might be returning. Now according to Collider and their tip from the all-mighty Kevin Feige the duo have been confirmed for the third installment.
Collider followed up with the Russoís during their interview:
Well now that Kevin [Feige] said it that means we can talk about it, I guess. Thatís great. Weíre just in the formative stages of it right now. We just started breaking story with [screenwriters Christopher] Markus and [Stephen] McFeely and weíre just getting an idea of what we wanna do with it. Itís crazy working on it before the movie even comes out because you want to see what people respond to in the movie. You want to get some inspiration from what people like about the film so you go, ĎOkay, this is what we gotta lean into in the next movieí or Ďthis is what we should move away from, this didnít work so well.í So weíre just in that phase of breaking story but waiting to see how people respond to the movie.
Not sure if youíve heard the buzz on CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLIDER but some are saying that itís the best Marvel movie made thus far. If that sounds like a little much, letís just add that most of the buzz has been positive. I think itís fair to access that many of us thought the film would be a good one. Unfortunately we donít get to judge for ourselves until April 4th when the film releases.
Now Iím even more excited.
