Television funnyman Joel McHale ("Community", "The Soup") is the latest to be cast in next year's Anna Faris R-rated comedy WHAT'S YOUR NUMBER?

The film, based on the book by Karyn Bosnak, focuses on "a woman (Faris) who treks through her sexual past to find Mr. Right, exploring the idea of sexual quotas and whether such numbers matter."

According to THR, McHale will play Faris's "mildly charming boss, whom she accidentally sleeps with, causing her to begin a wild goose chase to find the one that got away."

WHAT'S YOUR NUMBER? is beginning to boast quite a cast. McHale joins not only Anna Faris but the recently cast Andy Samberg and Zachary Quinto, as well as Captain America himself Chris Evans.

McHale was last on the big screen in Steven Soderbergh's very excellent (and underrated) THE INFORMANT! He's currently part of the great ensemble cast on NBC's "Community" - one of the best comedies on TV right now - which recently got picked up for a second season.

WHAT'S YOUR NUMBER? is set to open sometime next year.
Extra Tidbit: McHale continues to host E!'s hilarious "The Soup" which he also produces.

awesome

McHale is like the male version of Olivia Munn, except, unlike Munn, McHale still hosts the show that got him started on a regular basis

McHale is awesome and really funny. Love the premise and am a huge fan of everyone involved, especially Evans and Quinto.

Seeing Joel and Chevy is pure comedic gold and awesome to see the two generations come together. It is the funniest damn show on TV! I look forward to seeing him make me howl on the big screen!

Community is amazing. Best comedy on tv (better than Modern Family, which is a close second).

did anyone else notice how everyone in The Informant! except Damon were actors that primarily act on/are known for being on TV?

McHale is Hilarious

I would watch Joel McHale read a menu from a Chinese restaurant. Good to see him getting more acting gigs.
