John Boyega & his cool jacket revealed in Pacific Rim: Maelstrom set photos
Whether you're facing off against stormtroopers or Kaiju, your best line of defense is typically a snazzy jacket. Those without snazzy jackets, well, I believe we call them cannon fodder. Production on PACIFIC RIM: MAELSTROM kicked off in Sydney, Australia earlier this month and thanks to The Daily Telegraph, we've got our first look at John Boyega on the set of the Steven S. DeKnight film. Although they don't reveal anything particularly shocking, I've included just a few of the PACIFIC RIM: MAELSTROM set photos below for your viewing pleasure.
In addition to John Boyega and his cool jacket, the photos show Boyega's character (who is the son of Idris Elba's Stacker Pentecost from the first film) racing through what appears to be a makeshift shelter (possibly post-Kaiju attack) while clutching a small piece of tech. The PACIFIC RIM sequel wasn't always a sure thing as it had to be rescued from the brink of death on more than one occasion, but now that it's actually filming, we can probably uncross those fingers. MAELSTROM also stars Scott Eastwood, Cailee Spaeny, Jing Tiang, Zhang Jin and more.
PACIFIC RIM: MAELSTROM is set for a February 23, 2018 release.
|Extra Tidbit:||Movie stars make almost anything look good; put that shit on me and I'd resemble a homeless nerd in ill-fitting boots.|
