Interstellar

I really wished I had more information on Christopher Nolan‘s INTERSTELLAR for you guys besides casting news, but like many, many times before the only update we have for the highly anticipated film is more actors and actresses who have signed onto the sci-fi project.

The big addition to INTERSTELLAR (in my opinion) is the fantastic John Lithgow. The Wrap has learned that the actor has agreed to appear in the film, and joining him will be Ellen Burstyn (REQUIEM FOR A DREAM, Big Love), Mackenzie Foy (THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN PART 1 & 2, THE CONJURING) and Timothée Chalamet (Homeland). At this time we have no news (of course) on what their parts will be in the upcoming movie.

Besides the new additions, INTERSTELLAR also stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Casey Affleck, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine and Bill Irwin. Once again though, it’d be nice to know a little bit more about the film besides the same synopsis we’ve been seeing for months. Hey look: there it is now!

INTERSTELLAR involves time travel and alternate dimensions in a story that sees a group of explorers travel through a wormhole. The script is based on scientific theories developed by a Kip Thorne, a theoretical physicist, a gravitational physicist and astrophysicist at Caltech.

I used the words “highly anticipated” earlier to describe INTERSTELLAR, but with how much hype is surrounding the film it seems like that phrase doesn’t do it any justice. I’m fascinated to see what Christopher Nolan has up his sleeve with INTERSTELLAR, however it could be awhile before we nail down some solid details about the film.

INTERSTELLAR is scheduled to be released on November 7th, 2014.
