BBC Two is gearing up to premiere “Life’s Too Short”, the latest tv series from Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. Based on an idea from Warwick Davis who also stars in the show as a fictionalized version of himself, it’s all about the life of a dwarf in showbiz who’s trying to hustle his way back into the spotlight. The show will have all sorts of cameos from the Hollywood elite.
Case in point- Johnny Depp, who shows up to take umbrage with Gervais’ infamous Golden Globes hosting. It’s a pretty hysterical little clip, and it’s nice to see that the man can still joke about himself!
Now, if we can only get him to stop doing Tim Burton movies…
“Life’s Too Short” will air on BBC Two on November 10th, 2011. HBO has picked up the US rights and will air the series sometime in 2012.
