A few months ago, leaked production art of George Miller's defunct Justice League movie showed us what could have been. If you're feeling sore about that, we may have some very exciting news! Jon Schnepp, Venture Bros. and Metalocalypse director, as well as director of the recent documentary THE DEATH OF SUPERMAN LIVES: WHAT HAPPENED?, recently guest-starred on Popcorn Talk where he continued to discusses all things DC. After talking about the latest BATMAN V SUPERMAN trailer, Schnepp had no qualms stating that MAD MAX: FURY ROAD'S George Miller would be directing MAN OF STEEL 2. You can listen to his own words here around the 55:30 mark, but the man sounds more sure of himself than a Jesse Eisenberg Lex Luthor.

Given that Tom Hardy had previously signed on to more Mad Max films, rumors have been floating around about Miller returning to his post-apocalyptic world for a while. As much as we'd love some more Mad Max action, nothing has been set in stone for the director yet. Given the praise for FURY ROAD and the action within, it would make all too much sense for Warner Bros. to bring him on to one of their biggest properties. In light of this news, perhaps we'll hear something official sooner rather than later!

While no date has been set for MAN OF STEEL 2, we can see the alien hero next in BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE which hits March 25, 2016.

Would you rather see George Miller tackle another MAD MAX movie or MAN OF STEEL 2?
